Linda was the beloved wife of the late Richard E. Switzer; loving mother of Denise (Josh) Heflin and Mindy (Alex) Bodnar; cherished grandmother of Kyle (Emily Vilchis) Switzer, Megan Heflin, Reid Bodnar, and Trayce Bodnar; great-grandmother to Rylynn Finnen and Milena Switzer; and dear sister of Joyce (Greg) Cap. She was also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Magdalena and John Kosakowski.
During her younger years, Linda enjoyed going to amusement parks and riding roller coasters. She enjoyed hiking at Turkey Run, and was an avid bowler and car enthusiast. Later in her life, Linda prioritized spending time with her family, often going out to eat together. Her favorite restaurant was Schoop's in Schererville.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3, 2025 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN 46307 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. Committal service and burial to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
