Mable L. Higginbotham

Mable was born December 16, 1927 in Laurel, Mississippi to the late Oscar Baker and Maybell Baker. Also preceding her in death are her loving husband, Robert C. Higginbotham; mother-in-law, Margaret Higginbotham; sister, Ann Farley; sister-in-law Billie and Byron Reid.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Carol (Bill) Kintz, Alana (Jim) Castle, Robert (Pam) Higginbotham; grandchildren, Raymond Castillo, Billy Kintz, Chris Brown, Sarah Kintz, and Angela Higginbotham; great grandchildren, Robert, Bryce, Nicholas, and Katie; cousin, Carolyn (Larry) Wilhite; numerous nieces and nephews; loving fur babies, Holly and Gizzy.

Mable was a loving and devoted Mom and Grandma for many years. She was a faithful member of the Griffith Church of God. Mable was an avid gardener and birdwatcher. She loved spending time with her family and activities with them, and spoiling her dogs.

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 13, 2018 from 4-8 pm at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (8178 Cline Ave.; Crown Point, IN 46307). Funeral services will be Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 11:00 am at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home with Pastor Stephen Sluder officiating. Burial will be in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
