Mary was the beloved daughter to the late Jack and Theresa Vandenbemden; loving wife to the late Michael Zimmerman and Peter Comerford; loving mother to Dawn (Carl) Tungate, Michael (Kelly) Zimmerman, Daniel (Angeline) Zimmerman, Jason (Jess) Comerford and Steven (Valerie) Comerford; proud grandmother to Calin, Faith, Alexandria, Michael, Larissa, Delaney, Jolene, Lucas, Colter and Katleen; cherished sister to John (Jayne) Vandenbemden; aunt to several; and cousin to many.
Mary retired after 40 years of faithful service at Bank Calumet. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary #485 and VFW of Merrillville #1563. Mary was a music enthusiast, and enjoyed going to the local festivals, listening to music and drinking her wine. She also loved to travel, especially her birthday trips to Vegas.
Mary's last party will be Sunday, November 3, 2024 from 12:00 noon until the time of her Service at 3:00 pm at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN 46307.
