Mary Jane (nee Clarke) Hill, age 85, of Lafayette, Indiana, formerly of Griffith, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2015, at Indiana Veteran’s Home of West Lafayette, with her loving daughter at her side.
Mary Jane was born January 4, 1930 in Chicago Illinois to the late Charles and Clara (Kluck) Clarke. Also preceding her in death are her grandson John E. Piegza, sisters, Dorothy, Beverly, and brothers John and Larry.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Karen Piegza, grandchildren Nicole, Steven and Amanda Piegza, great grandchild, Ava, and a brother-in-law Forrest Hill.
Mrs. Hill was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother and a selfless caregiver to many in her family. She enjoyed bunco and crossword puzzles.
Funeral services will be Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 10:30 am at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (8178 S. Cline Ave.; Schererville, Indiana 46375) with Pastor Bob Parnell officiating. Visitation will be Friday, April 17, 2015 from 4-8 pm at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home. Burial will be in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
