Michael Brandon Cheesebrough

Michael Brandon Cheesebrough, age 29, of Griffith, Indiana, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2016 at Loyola University Medical Center with his loving family at his side. Michael was born May 13, 1987 in Hammond, Indiana to William A. and Rose (DeLong) Cheesebrough Jr., who survive. Also left to cherish his memory are his brother, Tim (Sarah Stovall) Cheesebrough; Aunts and Uncles, LeeAnn (Ed) Cheesebrough-Wallo, Betty Ann (Jeff) Duber, Ann (Mike) Farrenkoph, Donna DeLong, Betty Delong-Eberly, Donald (Jeri) DeLong, Beri (Craig) Lien, Debbie (Randy) Klapak, Bruce (Gayle) DeLong, and Chuck (Lesa) DeLong, many cousins, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Donald LeRoy and Joanne DeLong Sr., paternal grandparents, William and Betty Faye Cheesebrough, and his Uncle, Joseph DeLong. Michael’s most memorable time was working the Columbus Expedition on the Great Lakes on the “Nina”. Combining his sense of adventure and learning to sail. He was a 2005 Griffith High School graduate. Mike was a funny and outgoing son and brother, with a gift to gab. His unique sense of humor will always be remembered, and he will be greatly missed by those who loved him.

Visitation will be Friday, July 29, 2016 from 3-8 pm at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (8178 S. Cline Ave.; Schererville, Indiana 46375). Funeral services will be Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home at 10:00 am with Rev. Linda Skaggs officiating. Burial will be in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
