Norma Jo Fleisher

Norma Jo was born February 2, 1934 to parents Frank and Vera Squires, and raised in Gassaway, WV where she graduated High School. Later in life, she was a homemaker and raised four children while being a waitress at Vogel's Restaurant in Whiting, IN for twenty-five years.

Norma Jo is survived by her two daughters, Christina (Frank) Fortenbury and Terri Pearson; two sons, Mark Huffman and Greg Fleischer; four grandchildren, Merritt (Christopher) Armstrong, Stephanie Huffman, Nick Huffman, Martin Fortenbury and Scott (Tammy) Fortenbury; as well as four great-granddaughters, Tristen, Kamryn, Hayley and Rena; and two great-grandsons, Logan and Jeff.

Norma Jo was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Alfred Fleischer; son, Steven (Georgia) Huffman; her sister, Margaret Friend; and her three brothers, Bill, Fred and John Squires. She will be missed.

A Public Visitation for Norma will be held Monday, August 22, 2022 from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN 46307. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at 12:00 PM. Burial will be in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
