

Paul George Davis, age 82, passed away on Sunday, December 19, 2021. He is survived by his loving and devoted son, Vincent Davis; brother, Richard (Betty) Davis; brother-in-law, Bruce Percy; nieces, Heather Aaron and Erica Percy; nephews, Christopher Davis, Jason Davis and Calvin Percy; and many dear friends.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Carolyn Davis; brother, Robert (late Sharon) Davis; and nephew, Douglas Percy.
Paul was born May 7, 1939 in East Chicago, IN to the late Glenn R. and Irene Davis and was a 1958 graduate of Calumet High School. He proudly served our country in the US Army and was an active member of the American Legion Post 260 in Portage, IN.
On September 11, 1971, he married the love of his life, Carolyn Percy, and together they shared 46 years. Paul retired from Indiana Harbor Belt Railroad with 36 years of service as a foreman of the Bridge and Building Department based out of the Blue Island, Illinois rail yard. He was a scout leader for Troop 430 in Portage, IN, scout leader for Troop 50 in Portage, IN and a district commissioner for the Calumet Council. He also enjoyed being active in the concert band, The Rusty Pipes of Hobart.
Paul was a loving son, brother, husband, father and friend to many and will truly be missed by all whose lives he touched.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at 12:00 PM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN with Pastor Ken Puent officiating. Interment to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Crown Point, IN.
Friends are invited to meet with the family on Tuesday morning from 10:00 AM until time of service at the funeral home.
