Richard Bromels

Richard Bromels age 71, peacefully passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sarah (nee Stowers) Bromels; daughter, Jennifer (Peter) Townsend; grandchildren, Victoria and Oliver Townsend; many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Preceded in death by his parents, John and Ruth Bromels and brother, Edward Bromels. Richard was born on August 30, 1946 in Hammond, IN and was a 1964 graduate of Morton High School. He went on to receive his BA in Business from Purdue University-Calumet. Richard proudly served our country in the US Army. He retired from the Highland School Corporation with over 25 years of service. Richard loved all things science fiction, playing video games and spending time with his family. Richard was a loving son, brother, husband, father and grandfather and will truly be missed by all whose lives he touched. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 27, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (8178 Cline Avenue Crown Point, IN) with Rev. Mark Wilkins officiating. Interment to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Crown Point, IN. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Sunday, November 26, 2017 from 2:00-6:00 PM at the funeral home.
