Rita Marie Andrews, age 76, of Crown Point, passed away peacefully at home on August 25, 2017.
Rita was born March 30, 1941 in Hammond, Indiana to the late Andrew and Theresa Kovach.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, James R. Andrews Jr. and his fiancée, Kelsie Stooksbury; siblings, Richard (late Ruth) Kovach, Barbara (late Louis) LaPosa, and Marge (Jeff) Schmitt; nieces and nephews, Karen (John) Milicevic, Michael (Jan) LaPosa, Tim (Traci) LaPosa, John (Tamala) LaPosa, Krys (Jan) Guritz, and Greg Nevers.
Rita is a 1959 Morton High School graduate. She retired from Wachovia Securities, after she worked for Calumet National Bank. Rita enjoyed teaching and creating ceramics. She was an avid Chicago Blackhawks and Bears fan. Her unique sense of humor will always be remembered. Rita was a loving and devoted mother, sister, aunt and friend, and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
