

He is survived by his wife, Mary Beth; his children, John (Brenda), David (Leslie), and Jason (Melissa);
his stepchildren, Beth Hedrick (Robert), Robert Spear, Jr. (Mary) and Steven Spear; his grandchildren, Jessica (Cody), Samuel (Kailyn), Madison (Dan), Brandon, Samantha (Joshua), Robert, and Robert III (Anjelle); great-grandchildren, Zayden, Graysen, Aliviah, Ryder, Addison, Tinley, Brynlee and Chase; sister, Barbara Ruedinger, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Robert; and his son, Thomas Bydalek.
Ronnie drove semi-trucks throughout his adult life. He retired after 32 years of employment from Nipsco. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Crown Point. He loved seeing the grandchildren and great-grandchildren's school and sports activities. Ronnie loved traveling, it was about the journey not necessarily the destination. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.
There will be a graveside service and burial on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN 46307. Donations to Northwest Indiana Parkinsons, Inc. in Highland, IN would be appreciated.
