Santa Olivo, age 70, of Schererville, IN passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at the Golden Living Center in Valparaiso, IN. Santa was born September 27, 1950 to the late Santos Olivo and Rosa Maria Vega in Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico.
Santa was a woman who truly cherished her family. She would always say she loved all the children in the world, and treated each child from the family as if they were her very own. Her friends felt that compassion as well. Her relationship with the Lord shined bright even with Alzheimer's. A true gem who filled the room with smiles because of her very own smile and joyful personality. Santa enjoyed many things in her life such as dancing, laughing, reading, her red lipstick, the Dallas Cowboys football team, all kinds of food, and shared her sweet tooth of liking butter pecan ice cream, and pecan pie for dessert. She had a passion for discussing politics and really respected past President Barack Obama. Santa had a way of filling people with the joy and love she had and that was true wherever she went. Her family and friends will truly miss this one of a kind soul.
She leaves behind her loving family, children, Cynthia (Todd) Russell, Oswaldo (Olivette) Ortiz; five grandchildren, Rebecca Ortiz, Clarissa Ortiz, Abigail Ortiz, Elizabeth Ortiz, Lucas Russell; and several other precious family and friends.
