Sue graduated from Clinton High School in 1964, where she was proud to be a choir member. In 1967, Sue met the love of her life, Wayne. They were married in 1968, beginning a beautiful journey together that lasted 57 years.
Sue’s life was marked by her giving heart and dedication to her community and church. She served as a Sunday school teacher for many years, was a Church Moderator, and directed and taught in Vacation Bible School (VBS). She also devoted countless hours as a Girl Scout Leader, and she volunteered for the RISE Reading Program at Harding Elementary. Sue was a dedicated member of the PTA, serving both as PTA President and a longtime PTA member. She was also an active member of the American Baptist Women’s Association (ABW) for many years.
Sue had a special gift for caring for others. She also held close several special families she considered her own, taking care of them faithfully for many years.
Sue is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Wayne; her parents, Max and Edith Featherstone; her grandparents; her brother, Donald Featherstone; her aunts and uncles; brothers-in-law; one sister-in-law; and two nieces.

Sue found joy in the simple things—she loved reading, watching her favorite soap operas, and most of all spending time with her family, who meant everything to her.
Sue will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for her faith, warmth, and the countless lives she touched through her kindness and service.
