

Wallace Paul Quandt, age 90, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2017 at the William D. Riley Memorial Hospice. Born in 1927 in Stewart, MN, Wallace served in the US Army during the Berlin Airlift, where he met and married the love of his life, Elli Quandt. Retired since 1992, Wallace enjoyed travel in both the US and Europe, playing pinochle with pinochle loving friends at the Wicker Park Community Center, and attending to his large and bountiful vegetable garden (which he enjoyed sharing with family and friends).
With a passion for roses, Wallace maintained a large formal rose garden and also volunteered as chief rose gardener at his church.
Wallace is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Elli ; his children Colleen Kubica (Pacific Grove, CA); Jasmine Buss (Rolling Prairie, Indiana); and Philip Quandt (Indianapolis, IN); grandchildren, Lindsay Millar (San Francisco, CA); Josh Goldsmith (Danville, CA) and Elliot Buss (Plantation, FL) and great grandson.
