Lipman, Amanda Kay Rieken 34, died Saturday March 6, 2021, of unknown cause.
Amanda was born in Wichita, Ks on August 5, 1986. She attended school in Rockwall while growing up in Rowlett, then graduated from Colleyville Heritage High School in 2004.
When Amanda was young, she loved and was good at gymnastics and dance. She performed in high-school productions, at several Dallas Cowboy Thanksgiving Day half-time shows, the State Fair, and other competitions around the state. But what she enjoyed most was singing. Amanda started singing at age 4 and had impressed her vocal coaches with her perfect pitch at such an early age. Amanda became a local favorite for the Wylie Opry and the Garland Opry and Mesquite Rodeo City Music Hall, often performing at one or the other once a week. At age 13, Amanda auditioned and was selected to perform at the Johnnie High Country Music Revue, the same venue that made LeAnn Rimes famous, for their Friday Night Horizon Show on May 26, 2000.
Amanda grew into a lovely young woman and her next phase in life was what she most proud of, the birth of her daughter Elizabeth. She doted over Elizabeth and was so proud of her very own accomplishments with gymnastics, swimming, and school.
Amanda is survived by her beloved daughter Elizabeth Lipman, age 10; mother, Sherrill Rieken; father and stepmother Roger and Cory Rieken; brother Nicholas Rieken; stepsister Amy Clough; paternal Grandmother Marilyn Rieken; Elizabeth’s father Jordan Lipman; her boyfriend Darryl Woods; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a contribution to Shatterproof.org.
