Many fond memories of Bernie, who I worked side by side with for nearly a decade in the early 2000's. He was a hard worker, a proud family man, a devoted Christian (he always showed up to work with the charcoal mark on the forehead every Ash Wednesday) who generously volunteered weekly at the church soup kitchen, and underneath that famous Boston gruff exterior was a genuinely warm and friendly person once you knew him. His love of life and people was contagious, and his enthusiasm for sweepstaking was just one of his passions that made him so unique. All my best to the family.

I will add Rita and her family to my prayer list. I remember Rita very fondly as she served at Bethel and talked of her husband. God Bless you during this difficult time.
