

Bruce Lawrence Wing, age 75, of Dallas, Texas died on the morning of July 3, 2016. Larry was born in Columbus, Georgia on June 12, 1941. He attended the United States Naval Academy and graduated from the University of Maryland. Larry retired from Nortel in 2002 after a long and successful career in finance.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Helen Wing, Bob Wing and Jerry Breedlove as well as by his sisters, Linda Wing and Donna Breedlove. He is survived by his beloved wife Jan Wing and by his children Mike Wing, Debby Nelson (Owen), Diane Larsen (Mark), Bryan Wing (Jessie), Derek Rollins (Jennifer) Brook Rollins (Christy) and Dawn Schwarz (Jeff). Also surviving are his sisters, Mary Morris and Sally Bryne. Larry leaves behind 16 grandchildren; Carly Falzon, Danny Nelson (Beckie), Matt Nelson (Becca), Jenny Nelson, Emily Larsen, Camryn Larsen, Grayson Wing, Carter Wing, Logan Tassone, Cayden Rollins, Natalie Rollins, Cory Rollins, Carson Rollins, Joshua Rollins, Hayden Schwarz and Brent Schwarz. Great-grandchildren surviving are Sammy Nelson, Sully Nelson, Ben Nelson and Forrest Nelson. He is also survived by innumerable close friends, travel companions, political pundits and drinking buddies.
Larry loved to travel, try new things, putter in his garden and collect unusual hats. He lived for entertaining. He was highly regarded (by some) as an amateur stock market analyst. His favorite way to spend the day was sitting by the shore with loved ones, savoring an adventurous meal and a good scotch. He enjoyed a wonderful life and he lived it to the fullest.
