Gerald Terence De Guzman, beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2024, in Richardson, Texas. He was born on December 1, 1967, in Baguio City, Philippines, to Melquiades and Helen De Guzman.

Gerald was a man of quiet strength, who worked tirelessly for 20 years as a machinist at Turnamatic Machine Inc. His commitment to his work and family reflected the industrious, kind-hearted, and generous spirit he shared with all who knew him. A graduate of St. Louis University in 1990, Gerald carried the values of discipline and humility throughout his life.

Known for his love of simple joys, Gerald cherished fishing trips, grilling meals, and the peaceful melodies of his favorite music. His bond with his nieces and nephews was special to him, and he took immense pride in raising his two Akita dogs, Kai and Sayah, who brought him much comfort and companionship.

Gerald’s love and affection will be deeply missed by his family, especially his parents, Melquiades and Helen De Guzman. He is also survived by his sister Mae Centeno, brother-in-law Winston Centeno, sister Florence Tolentino, brother Virgilio De Guzman III, sister-in-law Joy De Guzman, and many cherished nieces and nephews: Lani and Stefan Hernandez, Winston and Christa Centeno, Alexa and Jonas de Vera, Timothy Tolentino, Veronica De Guzman, Ash Flordeliz, Ivan Flordeliz, Beatrice De Guzman, Bernice De Guzman, Belicia De Guzman, Huey De Guzman, Inigo De Vera, and Stella Hernandez. He was preceded in death by his beloved sister, Melquiades Flordeliz, and brother-in-law, Jaymes Tolentino.

A quiet, loving presence, Gerald’s legacy of kindness and generosity will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will be forever held in the hearts of his family and friends.

A private funeral service will be held for family and close friends to honor Gerald's life and celebrate his spirit.

Rest in peace, Gerald. You will be forever loved and missed.
