Celebration of Life: Saturday, November 15th, 2025, at 1 p.m., Ted Dickey West Funeral Home. Visitation one hour prior. Burial: Greenwood Memorial Park, Fort Worth, TX.
Lendyl was born in 1943 in Amherst, Texas to Alonzo and Mildred Chisholm. He was raised in Whitharral, where he graduated from high school in 1961. He met the love of his life, Camille, and they were married in 1963. They moved from Lubbock to the Metroplex after the birth of their two oldest boys. Lendyl established himself as a charismatic salesman and built his career at Elgin B. Robertson, Inc; he retired after 41 years as EBR’s president. He was also a member of EERA and the Masonic Lodge.
Lendyl was a successful businessman and public figure, but he considered his greatest achievements to be his devotion to his family and to his Lord, Jesus Christ. He was an avid fisherman and gun aficionado, although nothing made his joy shine brighter than being surrounded by his family and being able to share his passions with his boys. He was always open to new experiences, and after being a lifelong Texas Tech fan, he learned to also cheer on Texas A & M.
Lendyl’s memory is left to be cherished by his wife of 62 years, Camille; sons Bruce (Kim), Brad (Elizabeth), and Brent (Amy); grandsons Zach (Kate), Ben, Cooper, and Luke; sister Cheryl Kauffman; and his dear companion, Muffy.
