Margaret was born in San Antonio, Texas to Eleuterio and Elena Gutierrez. She graduated from Providence High School in 1962. On February 5, 1972, she married Charles H. Kelley. She earned her bachelor's degree from LSU Shreveport and shortly thereafter she started working in the Oil and Gas industry. She worked for oil companies in Louisiana and Dallas and became a Certified Division Order Analyst (CDOA). She retired in 2002.
Margaret was a loving and caring wife and she and Charles made a good team. This year they celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary. Margaret enjoyed cooking, sewing, painting, and traveling, but most of all, she loved being with family. She was a loving wife, sister, godmother, aunt and friend.
Margaret is preceded in death by her mother and father, as well as her brother Guadalupe Gutierrez (Ellouise) and her sister Maria Huerta (Juan). She is survived by her husband Charles; her sisters Ellie Ramirez, Isabel Branch (Charlie) and Maggie Ortiz (Frank); brothers Joe Gutierrez (Linda) and Gilbert Gutierrez and 17 nieces and nephews, 7 of whom are godchildren.
Vigil and Mass will be held at the St. Mark Catholic Church, 1201 Alma Drive Plano, Tx 75075 on Friday, September 11, 2020, beginning at 10am. The Vigil will begin at 10am and the Mass will be at 10:30. The family would like to thank the current and former employees of Auberge (Silverado) Valley Ranch for the care, love, and kindness they bestowed on Margaret during her stay. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to donate in the memory of Margaret G. Kelley to the Huntington's Disease Society of America or any charity of your choosing.
