Martha McMichael, 72, of Plano, Texas, passed away on March 9. Visitation will be held at 4pm - 8pm at Ted Dickey West Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas. Burial Service and Visitation will be held later in the week at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston, Louisiana.
Martha was born to Milton and Lillian Chandler in Ruston, Louisiana on December 17, 1940. She graduated from Ruston High School. Martha was married to Claude L. McMichael on November 4, 1960; they were married 52 years.
Martha enjoyed volunteering. She volunteered at the Ronald McDonald House in Dallas for a number of years. For the last 13 years, she volunteered as a DFW Airport Ambassador. She received recognition for her work with the Welcome Home Hero Ambassador Program, meeting the troops as they arrived home from Iraq and Iran.
Martha is survived by Claude, her husband, and her daughters Donna and Pam, and other family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to to the Interfaith Chaplaincy at DFW (www.dfwairportchapal.org) or the USO.
