Mary L. Schroedle, age 80, passed away on April 26, 2012, in Plano, TX. She was born on June 4, 1931, in Chicago, IL to Manuel and Lucy Valencia. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Deacon Bernard E. Schroedle. She is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth and Donna Schroedle; beloved grandson, Spencer Shankle; sisters, Rachel, Aurora and Gloria; brothers, George, Manny and James; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and canine companion Dexter. After retiring to Dallas, Mary volunteered at Medical Center of Plano. She enjoyed sewing, traveling, reading and listening to music. Mary will be dearly missed by her family, friends and fellow volunteers. Visitation will be held at Ted Dickey West Funeral Home, on Monday, April 30, 2012, from 7:00-9:00 pm with a Rosary Service at 8:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 5100 Plano Pkwy., Plano, TX 75093, on Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Calvary Hill Cemetery, Dallas, TX. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Stewpot of Dallas or The Brady Center through Catholic Charities of Dallas.
