I never had the pleasure of meeting Mrs. Stoltz, but I can say that I had the honor and the up most love and compassion helping to raise her first grandchild; my niece Stephanie Stoltz.  If anything I hope that you all understand that there is an another generation, and person that was never claimed by your family here in California.  For that I say sorry because. Mrs. Nives first grandchild is a wonderful person blessed with a child and one on the way...and although we (TORRES FAMILY) has all of her support...the Stolz family is missing out. I'm sorry and sad for your loss.  Karl Torres. 

Condolences to this family.  Sadly however they neglected to list her granddaughter Stephanie McMercury (Stoltz)—(Ernesto’s first born child) and Ernesto’s first grandchild Monika McMercury.  

Nives was full of love, great recipes and holiness. She loved the stuffing out of us! We can never forget eating in your restaurant on Greenville Ave, praying for your new house, seeing you at the Prestonwood pool or hearing about how devoted you were to the Madonna. We are richer because of your love and prayers (and great food ) made lovingly for us...just wish I could have taped your lasagna cooking session with me! Our prayers go up for the repose of your soul, our love and prayers to each of the family members- thank you for sharing Nives with us, Sidonie, (and sons) Stephen, Charlie and Ed

I will miss Nives big loving smile, hospatility when you visited her home. She was so caring for family, friends and people she was meeting for the first time. The routine was "have a seat and what would you like"because you will break bread anytime you were a guest in her home and share a taste of fine wine. The pasta, sauce, bread and wine was a given whenever you visited. Most times for me she had either just got back home from the church serving others or was at home taking care family. Nives put my wife, Pat to work running errands (something to do with cooking) for her during our trip to Rome and her bucket list was filled for which Nives was so  grateful. And we were so happy that she was pleased by her beautiful loving smile. Nives and Pat had some very intimate conversations at their resturant while Jimmy and I shared a drink and Ernesto was busy making sure we ate too many evenings....we just had a darn good time!
Nives prepared an Italian dinner in our home for my oldest (now deceased) son, Todd and guest when he graduated High School in 1989 that is still talked about among family and friends, today.
I am gonna miss your comforting words, Nives, always reminding me of her intimate conversations with Pat.
We all miss you already, Nives but during our last time together Nives told me she had something for me and I am attaching it to this memory of her

It has been many, many years since I have seen Nivez but I could never forget her vitality, her easy smile, and the love she had for her family. May you all have peace knowing she is  smiling down on all of you from heaven.

 Nives  i’ve been lucky in my life. To say that I’ve had two Moms. As I’m writing this I find it hard because I’m ready wanting to pick up the phone and ask how you’re feeling. ,What would you like to eat todayy,the usual thing. Paolo made sure that Sundays were special and even though you couldn’t go out we traveled anywhere to make sure that we got what you liked .There’so  many  memories  I can  think of, The happy ones going to Italy ,  we finally took you to a church in Italy that you went to as a child. Paolo found it he was so  was determinedthat day, how happy you were that we could  go inside  Home was always Italy.   And you were at your happiest there with family. I know your son is happy he was able to take you there many times.  The Christmases  we’re also such a big family event that you  made  come true. You had an open door policy everybody invited.  Sometimes I would think who are all these people, very funny total strangers coming to eat at fabulous Christmas dinner That’s because your heart was so big you loved so many people,  when you reflect  at a time like this that you don’t think of things like this until it’s gone . We will miss the song  you sang constantly ( Everybody loves Somebody Sometime). (  A Dean Martin song) The last time I saw you you were sitting up in the hospital bed  sent  me on a wild goose chase to get Coke three vending machines were down I was getting frustrated. Eventually I was only able to get Pepsi when I brought it to you and gave you a  taste  you looked at me and pointed and said too sweet  and smiled.  I was  called  (whatcha  your name for 20 years). A joke you played  between you and I.  I’m going to miss that terribly. The last thing I said to you was I love you. And even though it was difficult for you to talk I kissed you and you said  I love you too. Thank you for always  welcoming me   me into your family I am grateful for all the years. I will truly miss you  Mom .  You will  always be in my heart  

Ive known you for so long  what a wonderful wife, mother , and grandmother your where, you loved food, Opra , anything Italian even though Paolo ended up with an English women who you loved dearly and she you, My fondest memories are of when Paolo went on vacation with Maureen and you called me evry day for your food order always pasta , I loved visiting you and jimmy I'll never forget you Nevis you will be missed so much and we'll take care of jimmy until he joins you in heaven hold on Nevis you both will be together again 
Miss you already my heart breaks right now . Be at peace god only knows
You deserve it . 

So many years have passed since our first meeting. You cooked so many delicious meals. You babysat our lovely daughter. You were always so loving, so kind, so thoughtful. Even when I had to drive you to spy on the boys, I loved every minute.

You will be missed by so many that loved you. Thanks for the memories.

All the best to Jimmy, Jimmy, Paulo, Ernesto, the daughter-in-laws,  the Grandchildren and other family members. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

We will miss our dearest neighbor and friend.  There was never a time when she didn’t offer her advise,  or show her love and  support.
