

Ronald was born on January 10, 1937 in Cincinnati, Ohio to William and Hazel (Clifton) Barnett.
He was a proud brother to Evelyn (Barnett) Lyons, Earl Barnett, Paul Barnett, George Barnett, and Onita (Barnett) Keiser, Chester Barnett and to last surviving brother Theodore Barnett.
He graduated from Dixie Heights High School in 1955.
Ronald served his country in the United States Army as a Specialist 4th Class Radio Teletype Operator.
He worked for Mosler Safe Company dedicating 35 years and retired as a Regional Service Manager
He loved the outdoors traveling across the nation in his Fleetwood RV, fishing the lakes of north Texas and spending quality time with family and friends.
He was married to his beloved wife Mary K. Pitman of 55 years.
Ronald is the father of four children: Cheri Barnett, Ronald Barnett, Paula (Barnett) Everest and Heather Barnett.
He is a grandfather to five: Megan, Brittney, Hunter, Justin and Matthew. He is also a great grandfather to Ethan.
A celebration of Ronald’s life will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 3:00 PM at the Ted Dickey West Funeral Home located at George Bush and Coit in Dallas.
A service with full military honors will be held at a later date at the Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to a cancer treatment foundation of your choice.
