Obituario de Scott Edward Rethmeier
EN EL CUIDADO DE

Ted Dickey West Funeral Home

Scott Edward Rethmeier, age 51, of Plano, Texas, passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2024.

Born and raised in Plano, Scott was known for his larger-than-life personality, his unyielding love for his family, and his passion for everything that made him unique.

A true family man at heart, Scott was a devoted son, father, and friend who always put the needs of his loved ones first. His warmth, sense of humor, and loyal spirit left a lasting impression on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Scott had many passions, and his love for life was reflected in the way he embraced them. An avid video gamer, he spent countless hours exploring new worlds and connecting with others through the gaming community. But his interests went beyond the screen. Scott was a lifelong Batman fan, from the comic books to the movies, and his home was a shrine to the Dark Knight. He was also a proud Juggalo, never missing a chance to “dance in the Faygo rain” and celebrate his love for the music, culture, and Juggalo family that brought him joy.

His joy for life extended to his sense of humor, his carefree spirit, and the fun he brought to every gathering. Scott had a way of making everyone feel included and valued.

Scott is preceded in death by his mother Yalonda Ashby and father Duane Rethmeier. Scott is survived by his children, Chance Padgett (Kimberly Carter), Emma Leyde (Chaz), Niki Guerra, Damien, Samantha (Kyle), and Cody Rethmeier; his nieces Ilea Salamone, Nicole Heffron, Breanne Little, Hannah and Abbie Miller; his siblings, Kathy McKinney, and Adam Miller (Alecia); his grandchildren Elaina, Harvey, and Ashley Leyde, and Atreyus Padgett; and many many friends and Juggalo family.

A celebration of Scott’s life will be held at the only place that seems logical, the house on 15th, Date/Time is TBD.

The family invites all those who knew Scott to join them in honoring his memory and sharing their stories. Enjoy Shangri-La, until we meet again… keep your hatchet swingin’.
