Teresa LaDawn Tanner-Arnold

22 septiembre, 1962 – 8 febrero, 2020
Obituario de Teresa LaDawn Tanner-Arnold
EN EL CUIDADO DE

Ted Dickey West Funeral Home

Teresa LaDawn Tanner-Arnold, 57, of Plano, Texas passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2020. She was born September 22, 1962 in Hurst, Texas to Don Cecil Tanner and Pearl Colleene Turner.

Teresa grew up in Plano, Texas and graduated from Plano Senior High School in 1981—Go Wildcats! She went on to work at Geico Insurance, first in customer service and then in underwriting, for 31 years. She was known by many different nicknames—"T" by her sister Sheila, "Ta-REE-Sa" by her other sister Roxana, "Trixie" by her great grandfather, and famously, "Sh*t-heel" by her grandmother. Teresa will always be remembered for her strong devotion to family and close friends, her soft heart, being a role model to her baby sister, a champion for others, and a sacrificial mom. She also loved the color red, preferred four paws to two feet, was a relentless flirt, and sarcastic to a fault, with her big hair and big mouth.

Teresa enjoyed cross stitching, decorating cakes, dancing, and setting out on the road in her truck or on the back of a Harley. She could always be found listening to her favorite singers, Elvis and George Strait. She was also a longtime fan of the television show, Dallas, and any movie with Katherine Hepburn in it. Some of her best memories were her riding on the lake with her dog, Ewok, or cruising some bars with friends.

Teresa is preceded in death by both of her parents, Don and Colleene, and her beloved husband Kenneth Wayne. She is survived by her son, David Nixon of Fort Worth, TX; her two sisters, Sheila Tanner of Atlanta, GA and Roxana Morriss and her husband, Shane of Denver, CO; an extensive family back in Illinois; and the pups, Honey and Zoey.

A time of remembrance honoring Teresa will be held Thursday, February 13, 2020 from 4:00-6:00 PM at Love & War in Texas, 601 E Plano Parkway, Plano, TX 75074.
