I'm sorry to have learned of Adrian's passing so late. He was one of the most generous, fun, quirky, and life-loving people I've ever met. He always saw the best in people, and left his mark of positivity wherever he went. My deepest condolences to his family, whom I know he cared for so deeply.

Dear Helen and all the family, 
Thank you for allowing me to be present and for making it possible for me to attend Adrian's memorial service, I was watching from the UK. Please know your son Adrian literally saved my life 264 days ago with his kind words and support in the zoo crew music meeting when I was scared and withdrawing from alcohol in my first 24 hours of sobriety.  Adrian told me that night 'we are here to love you until you learn to love yourself' at the time I was thinking why would a complete stranger say that to me? On the other hand I felt supported for the first time in a very long time. I knew I would keep going back to that meeting, and I did because of those words of support. A bit later 'Chinchilla' was my DJ sometimes when I tried to 'host' a little while back (although he could do both DJ/host no problem with his screens he was a pro!) he would always step in and cover for me or anyone asking, he'd also joke with me he would come to UK to steal my kitten on zoom profile pic, he'd call me sister, have a zillion nicknames beginning with the letter 'A' in the zoo,  joke with us all, truly support anyone struggling and he DJ'd us all into the Christmas and New Year just gone- through every US timezone and some more! Keeping us all sober, happy and safe playing tunes. He is a legend.  I love him, I miss him.  As does everyone that crossed his path. He fought his demons hard and to the best of his ability. Adrian has left an eternal legacy with me and those he called his chosen family at the zoo. It was clear he loved his family especially his children. God bless you all. My heartfelt condolences go to Adrian's family. May God help you all in your time of need. Adrian was a wonderful, sweet young man who will be so missed. His unique, quirky, sense of humor and big heart will be remembered. He had such a beautiful smile and is how I will always think of him. I thank the Lord for the blessing of having known him. Our family will never be the same without Adrian. I will always remember our conversations and laughs. He was one of a kind and will be deeply missed. I pray we all find comfort and peace during this difficult time. 

Adrian and I graduated from Tulare Union High School together back in 1991.  We were pretty good friends our senior year as we had many classes together.  My favorite was our English literature class.  Adrian was the kind of person that didn’t stand out in a crowd but you knew he was around.  His personality and outgoing nature would just draw you in.  He loved life and lived every day to its fullest.  He’ll be missed by many but those that knew him will remember that he wouldn’t want us to be sad.  Rest in peace dear friend.
