Delton Cheatwood

Delton Cheatwood, age 82, of Avila Beach, California passed away on Tuesday, October 26, 2021. Delton was born May 2, 1939 in Los Angeles, California to Beulah Cheatwood and Grover Cleveland Cheatwood.

Delton is survived by his daughter Sharon Blackwell (Brian Blackwell); and his son Johnny Cheatwood; his brothers John Ed Cheatwood (Katherine Cheatwood), Denzil Cheatwood and Gary Cheatwood (Susan Cheatwood), his sisters Ruth Ann Greer and Barbara Cheatwood; his five grandchildren Kristen and Jeremy (Jessie) Blackwell, Amber, Barrington and Faith Cheatwood. Eleven great grandchildren Elijah, Cason and Jaxon Blackwell, John, Jimmy and Dahlia Blackwell, Aniyah Cheatwood, Delton Cheatwood, Payton, Paxton and Palmer Evans.

Delton was preceded in death by his wife Grace Cheatwood; his son Douglas Duane Cheatwood; his father Grover Cleveland Cheatwood and his mother Beulah Cheatwood; his sister Rosie Wilkins; his sister Evelyn Cheatwood and his brother DeVaughn Cheatwood.

A graveside service for Delton will be held Monday, November 22, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at North Kern District Cemetery, 627 Austin St., Delano, CA 93215. .
