

E. J. Wilson, 89, passed away on August 9, 2016 in Delano, Ca. He was born on September 6, 1926 in Cedar County, Missouri and moved with his family to Lindsay, Ca. in 1934. E. J. proudly served his country in the Army during World War II.
On October 7, 1949 E. J. married the love of his life, Mona, they were blessed to spend the next 66 years together. E. J. was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Nothing brought him greater joy than being surrounded by his family. He was an avid outdoors men and shared his love of horses, hunting, fishing, golf and playing Rook with his family. E. J. 's love of the Lord was well known and something he never hesitated to share with anyone he met. He and Mona were long time members of the Delano Church of Christ.
E. J. and his family moved to Delano, Ca. in 1961 after he was transferred for his job with the Bureau of Reclamation. After 30 years of service with the bureau he retired in 1981.
E. J. is survived by his wife Mona, daughter Linda Head, daughter and son-in-law Kathy and Jim Francis, son and daughter-in-law Craig and Pam Wilson. He had 7 grandchildren and 17 great- grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, August 20th at North Kern District Cemetery on 627 Austin Street, Delano, CA. at 9:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Smile Train in honor of E. J.
Services entrusted to Delano Mortuary, a Dignity Memorial Provider.
