We honor the life of our beloved mother and “Nana,” who brought light, laughter, and kindness to every life she touched. Born on June 7, 1945, in Barangay 18 A Mabusac, Badoc, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, she grew up surrounded by family, culture, and community—a foundation that shaped her lifelong warmth and generosity.
She pursued her passion for helping others by earning a degree in Pharmacy from Centro Escolar University in Manila. In 1972, she moved to the United States, where she later built her life in Delano, California, with her husband, Rodolfo Leynes Sr., who preceded her in death. Together, they created a home filled with joy, humor, and boundless care as they raised their children.
She was known by many for her kindness, her beautiful sense of humor, and her generous spirit. She shared her gifts freely with everyone she met--offering comfort, creating joy, and making each person feel cared for, seen, and valued. She gave from the heart—always. To her family, she was a steady source of love; to her friends, a dependable and loyal companion; to her children, a safe place to land—home, comfort, and unwavering support; and to her grandchildren, the sweetest and most loving Nana.
She is survived by her children: Lowell (Christina), Rodolfo Jr. (Sharon), Roden, and Lorraine (Evelio)
Her cherished grandchildren: Alyssa, Nolan, Emilio, Emma, Sienna, Nicolas, and Ava.
She is also survived by her beloved brothers, Rizal and Romy Mendoza, and is preceded in death by her brother Ruben Mendoza, her father Elpidio Mendoza, and her mother Irene Mendoza.
and by nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will forever remember her warmth.
Her legacy is one of love—quiet but immense, gentle yet strong. She leaves behind a family deeply grateful for every moment shared and a community forever touched by her presence. Though we will miss her every day, we take comfort in knowing she is reunited with her beloved husband and embraced by our Lord in His heavenly kingdom.
May her memory continue to inspire kindness, compassion, and laughter for generations to come.
