Faustino Jolomo Montes

Faustino was born March 3rd, 1933 to Nicolas and Dominga Montes in Los Herrerras, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. Faustino lived his childhood there and married his wife, Maria Santos, in Los Herreras, Nuevo Leon. They had two daughters, Maria San Juana and Maria de Jesus. Faustino and Maria migrated to the United States working as farm workers in Texas, Arizona and California. They settled in McFarland, CA where they lived for many years. Faustino widowed in 1985 and later went on to have three more daughters, Melissa, Judith and Jessica. Faustino lived all of his adult life in McFarland where four of his five daughters still reside. Faustino was diagnosed with Colon Cancer in March 2013 and with Liver Cancer a few months later. He underwent rigorous cancer treatments and fought a brave battle against cancer. Faustino passed away May 26, 2015 at 8:00p in his home, surrounded by family. Faustino will be remembered as loving and friendly and will be dearly missed by so many. Faustino is survived by his younger brother Eustolio Montes, Mission, TX, younger sister Rosita Rios, Los Herrerras, NL as well as his five daughters, sixteen grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren.
