Joe M. Herrera

Joe M. Herrera passed peacefully on February 16, 2018 in Bakersfield CA. He was 82 years old. Joe was born in Delano, California to Simon and Fidencia Herrera. Joe always had a love for God, his family, and golf. He served in the Army National Guard, and he never lost his love for his country. His favorite holiday was the Fourth of July. He worked for the United States Department of Agriculture for over 30 years and retired as a supervisor.

Joe is survived by his beautiful wife, Otilia Herrera, five loving daughters, Victoria Gonzalez and Diane Zamora of Delano, CA., Belen Aldridge of Phoenix, AZ., Erica Chavez of Bakersfield, CA., and Jo Ann Herrera of Ventura, CA., and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is also survived by his two brothers Raymond Herrera from Delano, CA., and Rudy Herrera from Bakersfield, CA.

Vigil service will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 PM, with rosary beginning at 6:00 PM, on Friday, March 2, 2018 at Delano Mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at St. Mary’s of the Miraculous Medal Parish in Delano, California at 10:00 AM followed by final resting place at North Kern District Cemetery in Delano, California.
