Julian Obando

Mr. Julian Obando, 92 of Delano, California passed away on December 12, 2013 in Delano, California. Mr. Obando was born on May 21, 1913 in the Philippines. Mr. Obando was retired from farm labor. Survivors are: Mariano G. Obando (son) of Indio, California. Daughter, Vitaliana Ceon of Maui, Hawaii, Ricardo Obando (son) of Bakersfield, California, Daughters, Rosario Agmata, Virginia Obando, Zita Obando, and Cion Leung all of Delano California. Mr. Obando is also survived by eighteen grandchildren and eight great grand children. Mr. Obando was preceded in death by his wife, Flora Obando and daughter Juana Sunga and grandson Juel Ceon and son-in-law Gmilano Agmata.

Services are as follows: Visitation and Rosary will be on December 19, 2013 from 4-8 p.m. at Delano Mortuary. Rosary will begin at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on December 20, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Delano, California. Burial will be held at Delano Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Bryant Obando, Shorion Sunga, Jerry Sunga, Ronald Sunga, Rommel Agmata, Roy Castillo, Richard Ceon, and Dominador Ceon. Father Rick Fierros will be presiding clergy.
