Luis M. Silva August 25, 1924 - March 8, 2012 Born in Jalisco, Mexico and moved to Richgrove, California in 1956, where he resided until his passing. He is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Felipa Silva and daughter Maria Rodriguez. He is survived by son Raul Silva and wife Frances; grandchildren Herman Santaella, Rosa Perez, along with six other grandchildren; numerous great- grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He enjoyed tending his large garden and spending time with his many dogs and birds. He was a member of the United Farm Workers Union and played an active role at the Forty Acres. A Holy Rosary will be held on Monday, March 19th, 6:00PM at Delano Mortuary on Browning Road with a Mass on Tuesday, March 20th, 9:00AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Interment will be held at North Kern Cemetery District.
