Dona Luz resided in the Delano area for 45 years and worked as a farm labor and child care provider, for a total of 20 years.
Mrs. Jimenez was survived by her husband, Carlos Parra, son, Gerardo Parra, grandchildren, Crystal and Jerry Parra.
Visitation/Viewing Services will be held at Delano Mortuary Chapel on July 8, 2015 4:00-8:00 p.m., 6:00 p.m., rosary.
Funeral service will be on July 9, 2015, Mass will be at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church at 9:00 a.m., than precede for burial to North Kern Cemetery District.

The family stated Dona Luz was a very hard working lady and an amazing babysitter. She was best known for her sense of humor and witty personality and made everyone around her laugh.
