My condolences to the entire Alva family. Mrs. Alva was my very first catechism teacher at Our Lady of Guadalupe when I was five years old. One of my favorite childhood memories is her and Mr. Alva teaching our class about the Sign of the Cross in that old room that had the school desks. She was always so nice and sweet. Every time I saw her for years after, even into my adulthood, we would say hi and she would ask me about my mom and grandma. And she always remembered I was in her catechism class. She was the nicest lady and beautiful inside and out. May she rest in eternal peace.  Love and prayers to the entire family. 

Olivia Alva was my God Mother. I remember going to church with my husband and kids and she would go up to us and have us take up the host and have my boys help with collection. I always admired my Nina’s faith and participation in the church. She was a beautiful soul and great blessing.  She was always happy. I know it was because she was at peace with God.  She will be greatly missed. Rest in Paradise, and Thank You for being a great example of a follower of God.  There is nothing more important. I Love You More Than Anything in This World!  May God heal the hearts of all your family and friends today and always.
