On July 22, 2023 Steven Mathew Toralba passed away peacefully in Bakersfield, California. He was born on September 4, 1979 in Delano, California to Narcisco and Lupe Toralba the youngest of 8 siblings. Early childhood memories of Steven would consist of skateboarding, bike riding, and competing in Taekwondo. Steven graduated high school from Bakersfield High School and went on to attend IT Technical College in San Francisco. Later in life Steven moved to Louisiana. He had a passion for cars, gambling at the casinos, and attending cock fights with his older brothers. In 2020 Steven was diagnosed with Mesothelioma Cancer despite having cancer he did not let it stop him from living his life. He loved spending his time with his family, BBQing and playing card games.
Steven is survived by his son Isaiah Toralba; his daughter Remedy Toralba; his daughter Zariah Toralba; and his son Christian Toralba; his father Narciso Toralba and his mother Lupe Toralba; his brother Rodney Toralba, his brother Bobby Toralba, his brother Marty Toralba, his sister Renee Pada, his brother Casey Toralba, his sister Becky Toralba and his brother Timothy Toralba.
A visitation for Steven will be held Wednesday, August 30, 2023 from 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Delano, 707 Browning Rd., Delano, CA 93215. A rosary will occur Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at 4:00 PM, 707 Browning Rd., Delano, CA 93215. A mass of christian burial will occur Thursday, August 31, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Mary's of the Miraculous Medal Parish, 916 Lexington St., Delano, CA 93215. A committal service will occur Thursday, August 31, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at North Kern District Cemetery, 627 Austin St., Delano, CA 93215.
Serving as pallbearers are Zachary Pada, Isaiah Toralba, Casey Toralba, Timothy Toralba, Antonio Ramirez, Jamie Avila, Michael Wright and Xonald Gillem.
