Carole Elizabeth Montgomery

She was born March 11, 1951 in Deridder, LA to Olan and Virginia (Reininger) Mitchell. She married Danny Montgomery in 1980 in Merryville. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her son-in-law, Bobby McDaniel.

Surviving are her three children, Tara Hudson of DeQuincy, Therran Montgomery of DeQuincy and Gina McDaniel of Benton, AR, three brothers, Michael Mitchell of Sulphur, Danny (Sheila) Mitchell of Kirbyville, TX and Raymond (Tammy) Mitchell of Ragley, two sisters, Janet (Stuart) Biven of Lake Charles and Connie ( Kirk) Bertrand of DeQuincy, eight grandchildren, Allen, Abby, Aaron (Raena), Zachary, Danny, Noah, Matthew and Sara and one great-granddaughter, Elizabeth.

Carole worked as a seamstress for many years and also doing demonstrations at Walmart. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, who enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren. She had a great love of animals and loved to do arts and crafts.

A visitation will be Monday, December 1, 2014 from 5 to 9 pm at Hixson Snider Funeral Home in DeQuincy and will resume Monday 10 am until service. Service will be Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Masonic Cemetery in DeQuincy.
