Carolyn Faye Brown, 74, of DeQuincy, Louisiana passed in the arms of her Savior, on Sunday, September 17, 2023 at her residence surrounded by her loved ones. She was born to her late parents, J.K. and Mae Crawford on January 27, 1949 in Beaumont, Texas. She loved tending to her flower garden, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, who she loved so much. Carolyn enjoyed going to Temple Baptist Church and worshipping her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She always showed the love of Christ and was a witness to anyone she came in contact with. She loved the Lord with all of her heart. Carolyn also loved her husband so much, and truly were the epitomy of true love.
She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Jerry Brown; children, Trevor Brown (Melissa) of Sulphur, Louisiana, Shannon Landrum (Brian) of Moss Bluff, Louisiana, Gannon Green (Kristi) of Bandera, Texas, Colin Brown (Rita) of Ragley, Louisiana, Jeremy Brown of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Renee Vandergriff (Terrill) of Conroe, Texas; sister, Darlene Burnitt (John) of Magnolia, Texas; twelve grandchildren; six great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; along with her loving church family.
Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Marilyn Nichols; and grandson, Kayden Vandergriff.
A Celebration of Carolyn's life will be held at Temple Baptist Church in DeQuincy, Louisiana on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at 11:00 am, with Bro. Dwayne Hyatt officiating. Visitation will be at Temple Baptist Church on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Visitation will resume at the church on Wednesday, from 9:00 am until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Riley Smith Memorial Park Cemetery in DeQuincy, Louisiana.
Carolyn has won her fight and is healed, and is with her Lord and Savior.
