DeQuincy-Delores Ann Shoemake, 71, passed away, April 12, 2013, at her residence. Delores was a member of Eastern Heights Baptist Church. She was a member of The Ladies Auxilary Post 3802. She also enjoyed arts and crafts and working puzzles. Survivors include her sons, Gerald "Dink" Wayne Shoemake and his wife Jena, Tracy Shoemake and his wife Sonny and William "Will" Allen Shoemake all of DeQuincy; one brother Howard "Pete" Keel and wife Jeanie; two sisters, Juanita Marcantel and Linda Shoemake and her husband Ernest; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; and numerous neices and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Gerald Glenn Shoemake; her parents, Ross and Gladys Keel; her sisters, Genevieve Salters, Emma Ruth Stevens and Martha Welch. Her services will be at 2:00 pm Sunday, April 14 in Hixson-Snider Funeral Home in DeQuincy. The Rev. Roland Hebert and Rev. Tony Crosier will officiate. Burial will be at Perkins Cemetery.
