Edith Sue Palmer

Vinton - Mrs. Edith Sue Palmer, 62, passed away on August 22, 2014 in her residence.

Mrs. Palmer was born in DeQuincy, lived in Vinton and worked at Delta Downs. She loved her family and especially her grandchildren. Her hobby was playing on the computer.

Survivors include her two daughters, Angela Alston Trahan of Vinton and Cynthia Palmer Hodges of DeQuincy; brother, Edgar Curtis Alston of Magnolia, Tx.; sisters, Awava Joy Harvey of Princeton, Ca., Nelda Stanley of DeQuincy, Murphy Carlisle of San Angelo, Tx., and Yolanda Tippett of DeQuincy; grandchildren, Scotty Trahan, Jr. and wife Rhonda, Allie Trahan, Ashton Palmer, Blake Trahan, Freety Parker, Jr., Cameron Trahan and Devin Parker; great grandchildren, Jolie Trahan and Arielle Trahan and two special friends, Paula Clark and Denise Carter. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Calvin Palmer and daughter, Amy Jo Palmer.

Her funeral service will be at 11a.m. Thursday, August 28, 2014 in Hixson Snider Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Alston Cemetery.
