

DEQUINCY - Justin Streams, sometimes called "Too Short", 56, born to Matt & June Streams died Wednesday morning at his home.
He lived all his life in DeQuincy and graduated from Fields High School. He worked for the City of DeQuincy when he got out of high school and then for 29 years at Alton Box, which kept changing its name, until he became disable and could no longer work. He loved to go camping with his Daddy, Matt and brother, Craig. He had lots of good memories at their camp on Sabine River. Justin was a die hard Dallas Cowboy Fan. He and his wife Shirley spent their Thanksgiving Holidays going to Texas Stadium. Justin will always be remembered for his smile and that laugh. He loved people and didn't meet a stranger. He loved spending time with his wife, his mom and the rest of his family and Shirley’s family. He loved watching wrestling and football games on TV. He loved to travel and got to visit all 50 states of the U.S.A. He believed in God and was a member of Hargrove Bible Church.
Justin is survived by his wife, Shirley Myers Streams; his mother June Dickerson Streams; brother, Craig Streams and wife Priscilla; two nieces Kim and Kaysha; two great nephews, Kyle and Kamron; uncles, aunts, and cousins on the Dickerson and Streams families. And he loved each of them. He loved Shirley’s family. He loved being with them. He was preceded in death by his Daddy, Matt Streams, his grandparents; Tom and Rosie Streams and W.E. (Monk) and Ava Dickerson.
His funeral services will be at 2:00p.m., Saturday April 21, 2012 at Snider Funeral Home Chapel with Harry Methvin and Scott Streams officiating. Burial will be in Perkins Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Snider Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Friday April 20, 2012 from 11:00a.m. until 9:00p.m. and continued on Saturday from 9:00a.m. until service time.
