Ragley - Lawrence James “Black” Daigle, 70, passed away on Monday, June 8, 2015 in a local hospital.
Black lived in Ragley for 42 years coming from Lacassine, La. He was Baptist and loved to fish, hunt and do woodwork. Black enjoyed life even in a wheelchair for the last 32 years. He was a loving son, father, grandfather and friend.
Survivors include his soul mate, Mary Bradshaw; daughter, Laura Fontenot and husband Coby of Lake Charles, La.; mother, Lucy Broussard of North Carolina; brothers, John Bourgeois and wife Ingy of North Carolina, Darrell Burnitt of North Carolina and Tim Burnitt of Moss Bluff; grandchildren, Jacob Shepherd, Bryce Fontenot, Brian Westbrook, Landon Bradshaw and Logan Bradshaw. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Danny Bourgeois Joseph Daigle and Bobby Burnitt.
His funeral service will be at 2:00pm Friday, June 12, 2015 in Hixson Snider Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Lacassine Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday, June 11, from 6:00pm until 9:00pm and resume on Friday at 11:00am until service time at the funeral home.
