Today we will bury my dear sweet Aunt Ollie. My heart is breaking from her loss even though I know that she has reached our ultimate goal, to be with our Savior and family that have already gone home. I have such precious memories with her and her wonderful family. First snow, Uncle Tom’s gas station with the vending machine, purple metal cup with Tommy, trips to North Carolina for a wedding, babies, trips up the east coast to explore our genealogy just to name a few. She was there for me during the hardest days of my life, the loss of my daddy and the beginning of my mom’s illness and she gave me strength through her prayers. I will miss her until we are together again but I know that she was an integral part of the person that I have become and the strength that I have to make it through. God bless and keep you dear, sweet Aunt OIlie until we are together again and thank you for your love and commitment to me. I love you and treasure our relationship.

I accept that God blessed me and allowed me to meet and get to know and love Ms. Ollie Ruth. She was truly an amazing lady. She loved her friends and kept in touch with them from childhood. Aunt Nicki Wall, Lori and her girls, Mrs. Bruce, her cousin Ms. Bartie, and soooooooo many others. (She was always talking on the phone with her friends) Her and I had something very dear in common; we had two sons and they were our world. She appreciated the daughter in laws for taking care of her two baby boys. And, she truly cherished her grandchildren. She was pleased with her lifetime; loving and honoring Mr. Tom, raising her boys, and always staying in contact with so many friends. She had a niece that was very special to her, and she sure missed her sister, but they kept in touch as much as they could.

When Mr. and Mrs. Long found my mom ( his cousin) what a joy. This made my mom so happy to be connected to family she had not met before. Over the next few years there would be joyous and happy visits. It was a sad day when we found out the passing of Mr. Tom. Our family kept being in touch with dear sweet Ollie. I can’t put in words the joy I could feel with this lady even just talking on the phone. I could see her sweet smile and the love in her voice. It sure put sadness in our hearts to loose her. God Bless all of her family and friends. We will always remember with love and joy the Precious memories.
