Patsy Cooper Ernst

DeQuincy - Patsy Cooper Ernst, 80, passed away on Sunday, January 6, 2013, at The Arbor and Terrace of Ruston.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Westlake and recently became a member of First Baptist Church of DeQuincy. She graduated from DeQuincy High School and McNeese College. She was a member of the Homecoming Court during her time at McNeese. Mrs. Ernst started her teaching career in DeQuincy and finished at S.P. Arnett Elementary School in Westlake. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Survivors include grandchildren, Dusty Ingram LeBlanc and husband Brad of Dallas, Tx., and Shane Ingram and wife Casey of Ruston, La.; great grandchildren, Masey, Cash and Dessa; brother, Lucien Cooper of DeQuincy; sister, Peggy Robertson and husband Steve of DeQuincy.

Her funeral services will be on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. in Hixson Snider Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Rob Walls will officiate. Burial will be in Perkins Cemetery in DeQuincy. Visitation will be on Monday from 5:00 til 9:00p.m. and will continue on Tuesday from 8:00a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
