Peggy Lynn O’Connor Kroger
Peggy Lynn O’Connor Kroger, 57, of DeQuincy passed away Friday, November 4, 2011 at a local hospital after a courageous fight against congestive heart failure. She is no longer hurting and suffering for the Lord called her home where she could be with her moma and daddy in Heaven and I couldn’t imagine the sight of everyone that was waiting for her on Rainbow Bridge! How wonderful and joyous her reunion with her loved ones must have been. “He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”
Peggy was born on the 31st of August 1954. She was a graduate of DeQuincy High School Class of 1972, where she served as President of the Future Homemakers of America. She always made people smile and laugh with her wonderful personality. Moma was kind, happy, bright like the sun and outgoing and brought nothing but joy to everyone she met. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church and she also attended Trinity Assembly of God. Her father, Loyd Douglas O’Connor, (A Baptist Preacher) would be so proud of the life that she led and her mother, Bernice Hall O’Connor Lavergne, would be proud of the mother and grandmother that you were.
Moma said that I was her greatest accomplishment! Yes moma, I will always be your “Little Luvy” Not only was she the greatest mother on earth, but she was my best friend! I am so proud to have had you as a mother, I was richly Blessed by God and now you are my Guardian Angel. We lived, laughed and loved to the fullest. She loved life and I am so thankful to Jesus for letting moma and I have “The Dance”! Thank you Moma for all the wonderful memories that I will carry in my heart forever and for all the great adventures. From fishing to 4-wheeler riding, to our many hours spent exploring the woods and being outdoors close to God’s great creation. I will treasure every moment that we had together. Boy they were wonderful! I will miss our long talks, your laugh and beautiful smile. My heart breaks without you, my best friend but I am so happy that you are getting to fly beyond the moon and stars. My mother was a blessing, she was so kind, so sweet, so much fun to be around, she gave the greatest hugs and I hope to be as good a mother to my two little boys as she was to me.
She always said that we kept her alive. Me and the little ones (Luca and Adrian). Moma loved them with all her heart and soul and they adored her too. She lived for them and she soaked up every waking moment loving them. Every morning they loved to run up to her and crawl up on her lap giving her hugs and kisses. Then she would grab them and laugh while kissing them, hugging them and oh how the house would fill with life, love, and laughter. She was their precious Nana to them, and they were her sunshine! They made her so happy and filled her with such joy! She just beamed when she saw them!
She is survived by two brothers and one sister; her only child, her beloved daughter April Michele Kroger Santostasi and her two precious grandsons Luca Alexander Santostasi, and Adrian Caleb Santostasi.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents, her father Loyd Douglas O’Connor and mother Bernice Hall O’Connor Lavergne
