He was born May 10, 1946 to John and Donnie Fields in DeQuincy, LA.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Surviving is his brother, Thomas “Tom” Fields and his wife Barbara, two nephews Cullen and Greg: his niece Theresa Fields and other extended family.
Ron was a graduate of DeQuincy High School class of 1964. He served in the U.S Army and worked as a carpenter and contractor for the plants in Sulphur and Lake Charles.
Visitation will be Friday, September 19 from 5 to 8 pm at Hixson-Snider Funeral Home and will resume on Saturday at 1:00 pm until the start of service. A funeral service will be on Saturday at 2:00pm at Funeral Home.
Burial will follow the service at Perkins Cemetery in DeQuincy. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
