

Walt graduated from Stagg High School and Delta College in Stockton, Calif. He owned and operated Raby’s Auto and Equipment. Walt was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in Vietnam.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Doris Burnett Raby, Moss Bluff; sons, Benjamin Raby (Cara), Modesto, Calif., Aaron Raby (Natalie), Modesto, Calif., Ricky “Skeeter” Burnett, Westlake, and Roger Clark, DeQuincy; daughter, Renee Wylie, Livingston, Texas; sisters, Georgie Thompson (Waylon), Austin, Texas, Dalphaline Gant (Ron), Crosby, Texas, Geraldline Darnell (Larry), Katy, Texas, and Ethel Flannery (Jody) Crane, Texas; grandchildren, Leah, Maci, Bowen, Gavin, Isabelle and Amelia Raby, Michael, Daniel and Roger Matthew Clark, Kyanna, Hanna Burnett, Kristen Meche, Bradly and Bryan Wylie; great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Brianna, Garrick, Ellie and Kayeden Wylie.
Preceded in death by his parents, Ray Thomas Raby and Ernestine Lois Cox; brother, Thomas Raby; and sister, Barbara Raby.
Visitation will commence on Tuesday, May 26, 2015, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Full Life Assembly of God in DeQuincy. The visitation will continue at the church on Wednesday May 27, 2015, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. service. The Rev. Royce Bailey will officiate with the Rev. Greg Cavanah co-officiating. Burial will follow at Good Hope Cemetery.
