To My Childhood Friends Tom & Jim:

Sorry to hear of the passing of your mother.  Just the thought of her sweet smilimg face when we were children pulls deeply on my heart. Bless your family and I send my condolences to all.

I was in the area recently and drove past the house on Airport Rd.and thought of you all. Time passes so quickly and we all go our own ways but we still keep our friends in our hearts.

Dear Tom and Family,

I was so sorry to hear of Joan's passing.  One of my fondest memories is from around 86-87 when Joan and I worked for a developer in East Lansing. In addition to her children, Joan loved dogs, as did I.  I would bring Bailey over to meet Ernie and Bailey always went home with a tummy full of treats, (as did I).  Joan presented me with a artist's drawing of Bailey, done by Tricia Reust.  My hunch is that Tricia did this out of love for Joan and not for profit. I will always have this superb drawing on my wall. I will fondly remember your wife and mother.

Dear Puppa and Family,  We are so sorry to hear of Grammy's passing.  You all have touched our family so deeply that we will miss her and feel your loss for many years to come.  Grammy, directly and through Susan and her family, have taught us so much about how to love each other, how to show kindness, patience and forgiveness.  She has shared so much of herself so selflessly.  We are better people for having known her and you.  I think that her wings are sparkling brightly and reflecting beautiful light.  She has already worked a miracle for me.  To think I can call on her anytime is a great joy for me and my family.  Bless her on her new life, and bless you all as you continue on yours. Dear Tom, Susan, Gail, Jim and families,
we were so sorry to hear of Joan's death, through our friends the Ramirez'.
Joan stepped in to my life from over thirty years ago to play "grandmother" to my little girls, as my own family was 10,000 miles away from De Witt and she knew I was so lonely. All our four children were baptised wrapped in the beautiful white blanket that she had made. Joan taught me to crochet pot holders and I have lost count of the hundreds of pairs that I have made, and every one I make brings back the memory of my gentle, kind and loving friend.
The last time we saw you was when you travelled to Virginia to share the wedding ceremony of Jessica, and what a great thing to see you again and be in your presence.
Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers, and we hope that by knowing this, somehow it helps to bring some of Christ's strength to all of you at this time.
Joan brought a special loving experience into our lives, especially to Shirley, Jessica and Josie, and we are the better because of her.
