Ann was born on August 16, 1947, in Columbus, Ohio, to Howard and Ruth DeWitt. Ann devoted her life to education and service, guided by a deep and abiding faith. She earned a master’s degree and served as Director of Great Beginnings Christian Center for 18 years. Her leadership and commitment to Christian education left a lasting impression on the community. Following her tenure there, she continued her career with the State of Michigan as a Licensed Consultant.
Ann was a dedicated spiritual leader who served the Lord with her whole heart. She exemplified the fruits of the spirit- love, joy, peace, patience and full of meekness. Her gentle spirit and unwavering faith touched the lives of all who knew her. Ann had a deep passion and sincere love for working with children and often ministered to everyone she came in contact with. She carried a contagious sense of humor that could brighten any room. She loved her family and friends with every ounce of her being and poured herself into the lives of those around her.
Ann was the beloved wife of the late Terry William Hill. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Julie Ann Elizabeth (Brian) Wethy; her cherished grandson, Gavin Charles Wethy; her siblings Nancy (the late Tom) Reed, Robert (Mary) DeWitt, the late Richard "Dick" (Claudia) DeWitt and the late William "Bill" (the late Linda) DeWitt; as well as numerous nieces and nephews who will hold her memory dear.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 2 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Gorsline-Runciman Funeral Home, DeWitt Chapel, 205 E. Washington Street, DeWitt, Michigan 48820.
The Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, May 3 at 11 a.m. at Community Faith Church, 4801 Willoughby Road, Holt, Michigan 48842. The family will gather at church to greet friends and family beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Delta Cemetery in Lansing, Michigan.
