

Tony earned a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and pursued some postgraduate studies. His career was marked by dedication and leadership, culminating as the Director of Sales at Agfa Corporation. Earlier in his life, he served as a teacher, mentor, and varsity basketball coach at Molokai High School, roles he held with great pride and passion. Tony was also an active member of the Catholic Community of St. Jude and Theta Xi Fraternity.
Music played an important role in Tony's life. He sang in several church choruses and barbershop quartets. He was an extraordinary clarinet player and percussionist. He passed his love of music onto his children and grandchildren. Tony went from a modest upbringing to becoming a world traveler who enjoyed immersing himself in the local cultures including seeing the sights, enjoying local cuisine, and going to the theater.
On June 26, 1971, Tony married Judy Renny in Keshena, Wisconsin. Together they built a life filled with love and shared memories. He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Judy; his children Pamela (Dave) Beattie of Appleton, Wisconsin; Sheila (Mike) Hartle of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Kim (Todd) Jorns of DeWitt, Michigan; and Laurie (Kristen) Cahalane-Petchar of Belmont, Massachusetts. He was a proud grandfather to Lauren, William, Gabriel, Jonas, Anthony, Jonathan, Renny, and Kiely.
Tony is also survived by his sister Cleta Kwiatkowski; sisters-in-law Laurie (Rudy) Reich and Janet (Clay) Vinjie; brother-in-law Gene Kessler; nephews Mike Page, Drew Kessler, Greg Kwiatkowski, and Joe Kwiatkowski; and nieces Theresa Mitchell, Michelle Vipond, and Jacquie Vinje; many cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, his infant brother, his sister Marlene Kessler, and brother-in-law Gregory Kwiatkowski.
A man of faith and community spirit, Tony left an indelible mark on those who knew him. His faith was always important. Tony was always thankful for all of his blessings. Family was very important to Tony, he loved being a husband, father, and grandfather.
A funeral service for Tony will be held at St. Jude Community Catholic Church on Saturday, January 18th. Visitation will begin at 9am, followed by the funeral service at 11am. Tony will be interred at DeWitt Cemetery following services.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Catholic Community of St. Jude in his honor. May his memory bring comfort to all who loved him.
